A practicing lawyer for more than 60 years, Jay H. Tanenbaum, Esq. has built a reputation for excellence in personal injury law. To prepare for his career, he attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1954. Three years later, he achieved a Bachelor of Laws from the Albany Law School and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1959. Setting the ground for his academic framework within law, he then went on to obtain a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Union College in 1961.
Upon spearheading his professional endeavors, Mr. Tanenbaum spent four years as an international trader with the Associated Metals and Minerals Corporation in New York City until 1964. At this point, he established his eponymously named firm, The Law Offices of Jay H. Tanenbaum, also in New York City, where he continues to excel as a personal injury lawyer through the present day. During his career, Mr. Tanenbaum served as a corporate counsel for the International Gate Corporation and the General Gate Corporation.
To remain abreast of his industry, Mr. Tanenbaum has been active with the New York State Bar Association, the New York Trial Lawyers Association and the Bronx County Bar Association. He is also a member of St. James Hotel and Club and Le Club in New York. Notably, he was named to Knighthood by His Royal Highness The Prince of Cittanova and His Royal Highness The Prince of Trabzon in 2001. In his spare time, Mr. Tanenbaum enjoys attending the Tanglewood Music Festival, the ballet and the opera, as well as visiting the Hamptons.
